Sepsis survivor, educator and advocate, Caitlin Alsop was 23 years old when a tooth infection caused sepsis, resulting in 9 days in a coma. Since then, she has been dedicated to sepsis awareness and education, sharing her story globally, developing and founding the FACE Sepsis Project in partnership with Sepsis Australia and creating Courage Cards to honour survivors and families globally. Caitlin works with media, organisations and research globally to improve sepsis outcomes and awareness. She has worked alongside QLD Health, the QSP, QPSP, ACSQHC, The George Institute, Sepsis Australia, NSW Health, Sepsis Alliance, Global Sepsis Alliance, World Sepsis Day, UK Sepsis Trust and more to raise awareness about sepsis and improve patient outcomes.
